Happy New Year 2010!!!!!!!!
May the New year 2010 bring happiness all around you and give you thousand reasons to smile wideeeeeeeeeeee each day :):):):) ! Let all your dreams come true!!
Have a ROCKING 2010!!!
I have yet another reason to celebrate this day.
Its my 150th post on blogger :)
My blog child is growing up and taking in loads of lessons.. and now its a milestone to celebrate with a sweet. :) :) :)
Ingredients:
Sugar - 1 cup
Rice Flour* - 2 cups (Freshly ground rice flour)
Oil - to deep fry
Sugar - 1 cup
Rice Flour* - 2 cups (Freshly ground rice flour)
Oil - to deep fry
Method:
In a vessel take sugar and just enough water to immerse it. Boil it until you get soft ball consistency. Now switch off the flame and start adding the rice flour little by little mixing it thoroughly. When the entire flour is absorbed, it will be in dosa batter consistency. Once that is achieved, leave it alone for a while. Then roll the dough into small balls, press them in between two plastic sheets to make it flat. Now deep fry the pressed dough in oil. Turn it once and fry until it turns light golden color on both the sides.
Yummy Sugar Adhirasam is ready to eat :)
Enjoy the year with loads of sweets and sweet moments!!!! :)
Note: *Wet rice flour - Wash and soak rice for around 20 min. Drain and spread it on a clean cloth for it to dry. When it is still slightly wet, grind it in the flour mill into fine powder.
You can preserve the dough for a week and make hot adhirasams whenever you want. Just in case the dough becomes hard, add little warm water to it and kneed it.
